About the Artist
Lorenzo Micheli — Italian Virtuoso of the Classical Guitar
Recognized on five continents, Lorenzo Micheli has appeared at major venues including Carnegie Hall (New York) and Vienna’s Konzerthaus. UK audiences will know his refined tone, clarity, and imagination from past tours and festival appearances.
A winner of the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition, the world's most prestigious guitar performance competition, Micheli has recorded for Naxos, Stradivarius, and Decca. He also performs worldwide with Matteo Mela as SoloDuo — one of today’s most acclaimed guitar duos.
Dedicated to the next generation, Micheli teaches at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. His programs span Renaissance transcriptions to modern masterpieces, united by artistry, balance, and expressive detail.
